Call for Presentation Proposals: "Exploring Future Opportunity"
ACSCI and ACRNA are co-sponsoring "Exploring Future Opportunity", a conference for career product developers and practioners. It will be held December 2nd and 3rd, 2008 in Charlotte, NC. We invite you to register and submit proposals for presentations. Proposal are due by September 19, 2008!

ACRNA Completes Corrections Survey
Thanks to those of you who responded to ACRNA's Corrections survey. The results are now available. The taskforce is now considering options to address issues that were identified.
Partnership with Employement Readiness Center!
ACRNA is pleased to announce a new partnership with Employment Readiness Center to promote the Employment Readiness Scale™, a web-based, self assessment tool that measures an individual’s readiness for employment and links their assessment with an action plan. The ERS is targeted most at individuals facing multiple barriers to employment such as ex-offenders, welfare recipients, and the long-term unemployed.

The Parent's Planner provides parent-friendly information and tools to promote career planning. Parents can begin using the planner with middle school children and continue using the planner throughout high school.
Career Trek teaches elementary school children about the world of work. Created for classroom, Career Trek includes a durable deck of 190 illustrated occupation cards and 60 cooperative learning activities.
ACRNA is pleased to announce a partnership with ReadyMinds, Inc to promote online Distance Credential Facilitator Training. This training encompasses the use of accepted technology-supported techniques and related resources, knowledge of ethical standards, best practices and the application of distance-delivered services. Trainees will be required to complete the self-paced online training.
