Brigham and Women’s Neurosurgery at South Shore Health treats patients with a variety of neurological disorders including brain and spine tumors, trauma, degenerative spine disorders, and hydrocephalus.

Our specialists collaborate closely with others in our health system including neurologists, neuro-radiologists, physiatrists, orthopedists, pain specialists, physical and occupational therapists, and primary care doctors to ensure our patients get the best possible outcome. Our neurosurgeons are specialists in spinal surgeries that relieve back pain and restore function. They also specialize in treating brain tumors, brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation), and strokes. And, as the first and only Level II Trauma Center in Southeastern Massachusetts, we’re equipped to handle brain and spinal trauma and can perform complex spinal and cranial surgery when every second counts.
