MRI
Quick and Convenient MRI Testing on the South Shore
Our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems depict the inside of the body with incredible clarity. Your physicians can use MRIs to quickly and easily identify areas of treatment, track progress, and detect serious conditions. MRI scans don't involve surgery, radiation, or hospitalization, and have no known side effects.
MRI systems use powerful magnet radio signals and sophisticated computer software technology to create an incredibly detailed image of the inside of the body. Because certain atoms in a person's cells “resonate” or move lightly in the presence of magnetic fields, the MRI uses that response to create a precise, clear, and detailed picture of internal organs, muscles, connective tissue, and the central nervous system. MRIs allow physicians to accurately evaluate the body for diseases that can be difficult to diagnose with other methods.
